Almost 600 kilograms of the drug ice likely worth more than $438 million has been discovered hidden inside seven commercial fridges in a container shipped from Singapore.
The 585 kilograms of methylamphetamine was discovered in late March at Sydney's container examination facility.
The find by Australian Border Force officers was the largest seizure of ice in NSW this year, Superintendent Garry Low told reporters.
"We've had such an effect on the smaller, scattergun-type imports and now they appear to be going for broke with bigger ones and we're finding those," Supt Low said on Monday.
"As much as they may try and change their methodology, we'll change our targeting and we'll find them."

The amount seized would likely amount to millions of hits, Supt Low said.
The shipment was declared to be electronic ovens but instead contained 11 commercial fridges with seven containing 561 packages of ice.
It was a "fairly crude import" which was quite easily identified, Supt Low said.
The drugs were hidden in the backs of the white goods. To the casual observer they looked like operational fridges, the superintendent said.
The discovery prompted a joint-agency investigation involving NSW Police, the Australian Federal Police and border force.
A search warrant was executed at a commercial premise linked with catering equipment in Wetherill Park and another at a home at Edensor Park, in southwest Sydney, on April 5.
During the searches, officers seized electronic storage devices and documents.
The investigation continues.
