I'll hire Warriors a car to Vegas: Ingles

Australian NBA player Joe Ingles has suggested Golden State players seeking nightlife in Utah should spend their time elsewhere.

Joe Ingles has a solution for fun-seeking Golden State players complaining about a lack of off-court "vibe" in Salt Lake City during their NBA playoffs series with his Utah Jazz.

Warriors forward Matt Barnes complained "no nightlife" in the Utah capital meant the Jazz's beaten first-round opponents Los Angeles Clippers were a more exciting match-up.

Barnes' teammate Andre Iguodala claimed visiting Utah would lull players and make it hard for them to fire up for games.

"In LA, you're like, 'man, this is just the vibe in LA'. But in Utah, it can kind of lull you to sleep," Iguodala told ESPN.

But ahead of the team's Western Conference semi-final opener in Oakland on Tuesday, Australian Ingles hit back, even offering to help send them on their way if they missed the bright lights.

"They can still go to LA between the games if they want," Ingles told reporters.

"They've got enough money to pay for a jet to go over for a night and come back on game day.

"If they want the entertainment, they can drive to Vegas if they really want.

"I'll hire the car for them."

Ingles said he loves living in Salt Lake City, a city known for boasting a high proposition of residents who strictly adhere to the Mormon faith.

"I love Utah. I think it's a great place. It's good to focus on our job, basketball, and what we do," he said.

The opening two games are being be played on the Warriors home court in California but games three, four and six (if required) will be played in Salt Lake City.

The 2014-15 champion Warriors, boasting big guns Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, are heavy favourites for the series.

The Jazz progressed past the playoffs' opening round by beating the Clipper 4-3.
