Robert Allenby has been arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass outside an Illinois casino, adding another bizarre chapter to the Australian golfer's recent history.
Allenby appeared to deny the arrest, telling USA Today "nothing happened" and he had "no idea" about the charges.
This is despite the Rock Island Police Department confirming they arrested Allenby in the early hours of Saturday morning and the sheriffs who run the local jail releasing his mugshot.
"Robert Allenby was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass from Jumer's Casino on August 13th at about 2.29am," a Rock Island County Police Department spokesperson told AAP on Sunday.
"He was transported to Rock Island County Jail and we do believe he has bonded out."

In the Rock Island County Sheriff mugshot released to AAP Allenby is sporting a light beard and wearing a collared shirt.
Allenby, who was the centre of controversy last year after he claimed he was robbed, kidnapped and beaten in Hawaii, was playing in the John Deere Classic in Illinois but missed the cut on Friday.
When contacted by USA Today Sports, Allenby told the newspaper: "I don't know anything that's going on, so you can say whatever you want".
Allenby said he had been staying at the casino and after missing the cut by three strokes had dinner and played blackjack with other golfers and caddies at the casino tables, USA Today reported.
"There's nothing to be said or done," Allenby said.
"Nothing happened."
When asked about the charges, Allenby replied: "I have no idea, mate. No idea".
A Rock Island County Jail spokesman told AAP Allenby spent less than an hour in custody before making $US1500 ($A1958) bond and being released before 5am on Saturday.
"He has been released," the spokesman said.
"He posted bond."
Allenby needed to come up with just 10 per cent of the bond - $US150 - to make bail, the spokesman said.
"He must have had the money on him," the spokesman said.
Allenby missed the cut at the tournament after finishing even with rounds of 70 and 72.
Allenby has not returned AAP's call for comment.
