I'm in a great place, says in-form Kyrgios

Nick Kyrgios claims he's in the best mental shape of his career and insists he's a genuine chance of breaking his grand slam duck at Wimbledon this year.

Nick Kyrgios believes he's in the best mental shape of his career after confirming he'll play in the Queens Club grass event in London this June.

Kyrgios lines up in a star-studded field for the traditional pre-Wimbledon warm-up tournament and is confident of improving on his 2014 quarter-final appearance at the All England Club in 2014.

The Canberran stunned the No.1 Rafael Nadal to reach the last eight after being handed a wild card, and three years on takes his place alongside the Spanish great as a headline act for Queens.

Wimbledon champion and world No.1 Andy Murray, Milos Raonic, Stan Wawrinka and Grigor Dimitrov have also confirmed their participation for tournament which starts on June 25.

"I don't think British people have seen the best of me yet," Kyrgios said.

"I was very young when I had that run at Wimbledon.

"Mentally I have improved a lot recently. I'm in a great place at the moment, I feel like I've matured and that's helping me. I'm playing better tennis, I'm getting some better results."

Kyrgios has beaten former World No.1 Novak Djokovic twice over the past month and insists he's ready to make a genuine push for his maiden grand slam title at Wimbledon.

"I love playing on grass. It's my favourite surface, it suits my game a lot and I'm expecting big things on grass this year," he said.
