Rising midfielder Tom Mitchell says he has no intention of leaving the Sydney Swans for an AFL rival.
Mitchell, who has been in sterling form ahead of Saturday's grudge match against Greater Western Sydney, has been linked with a move to Victoria and Carlton - one of three clubs his father Barry played for.
Tom Mitchell spent much of his early years at Carlton when his father was playing and then coaching there for a decade, after nine seasons with the Swans and one at Collingwood.
But the 22-year-old Mitchell said he wasn't contemplating leaving Sydney.
"I'd love to stay a Swan," he told Fox Footy's AFL 360 program on Thursday night.
"I love the club and am very happy here. So I'm sure those things will work itself out, I will leave that to my manager to worry about."
Mitchell has collected 64 disposals in two rounds this season - the 10th-most in the league.
"I love the club and have built some great relationships with all the players and coaches," he said.
"And I just love being part of a group that is really driven, heading towards achieving the same goal.
"So I'm very happy in Sydney and really looking forward to what should be a solid year for the team."
