Former prime minister Tony Abbott says he "absolutely" supports Malcolm Turnbull as leader.
"The last thing I want to see is a revolving door prime ministership," he told reporters in Sydney on Saturday.
"That's why I'm strongly behind Prime Minister Turnbull and his government."
Mr Abbott also praised the government's "successful" week in parliament and said he was looking forward to more.
Earlier, the former prime minister told Fairfax Media while he was "ready to serve", he was content as the member for Warringah.
