Video has emerged showing what is thought to be the largest shark ever filmed.

Shark researcher Mauricio Hoyos Padilla posted a video to Facebook this week that showed the shark, nicknamed "Deep Blue," swimming toward divers standing in a cage.

Small fishes can be seen swirling around the shark's enormous body as it inspects the cage and passes by.

At about six meters long, "Deep Blue" is reportedly the largest ever filmed.

The footage was shot in 2013 for a Discovery Channel documentary.
