Aerial images have captured a passenger train in the Scottish Highlands derailed after mud covered the tracks on Monday.
Debris from the mountainside in Glenfinnan, west Scotland, fell onto the West Highland Line resulting in the train to lift off its tracks and become stranded.
Images showed mud and rocks had covered the train tracks, triggered after heavy snowfall melted and caused a landslip, as engineers attempted to fix the situation during the extreme weather.
"Tonnes of material have been washed onto the track from the slopes above the line by the extreme weather. We are working as quickly as we can to get trains back on the move," Network Rail Scotland said.

Scotland Rail said all train crew and passengers were safe, but the line was shut for several days.
Heavy snow fall and extreme weather across parts of Europe over the last week has wreaked havoc. People in Swiss Ski resorts were left stranded as avalanche warnings reached a maximum in parts of the Alps.
An avalanche in northern Italy caused by heavy snowfall also continues to cause disruption in the South Tyrol region. While, the River Seine in Paris overflowed three metres its normal level.
Scotland didn't escape the cold weather with the train derailment capping off a busy weekend for Scotland Rail as workers were forced to clear heavy snowfall from the tracks as the countryside was blanketed.
