India all out for 249 against WA XI

India have been bowled out for 249 in a one-day match against a WA XI at the WACA Ground ahead of Tuesday's series opener against Australia.

There was nothing spectacular but India's batsmen that needed time in the middle got just that in the one-day tour match against a Western Australia XI at the WACA Ground.

Playing their second tour match ahead of Tuesday's opening one-day international against Australia in Perth, India were bowled out for 249 in the 50th over after captain MS Dhoni elected to bat first.

Rohit Sharma top-scored with 67 from 82 balls after making just six in Friday's Twenty20 hit-out against a similar WA XI.

Ajinkya Rahane also missed out on Friday but made 41 from 53 while Manish Pandey impressed with 58 from 59 balls.

Shikhar Dhawan (4) and Virat Kohli (7) were out cheaply, but both had good knocks of 74 apiece in Friday's 74-run T20 win.

Drew Porter was the pick of WA's bowlers taking 5-37. Leg-spinner James Muirhead took 2-55.

The only concern for the tourists is the absence of paceman Mohammed Shami who injured a hamstring in the warm up on Friday.
