India, Windies set for exciting final day

India look set to give the West Indies an interesting final day run chase in St Lucia.

India quickly reached 3-157 in its second innings at stumps Friday with one day left to dismiss West Indies and seal the series after building a lead of 285 in the third Test.

Ajinkya Rahane finished the fourth day on 51 not out, and Rohit Sharma was undefeated on 41, with India having faced 39 overs so far and an early declaration expected Saturday.

Following a third-day washout on Thursday, West Indies resumed in a solid position on 1-107 before losing its last seven wickets for 23 runs to be all out for 225 - 128 runs behind India's first-innings 353.

Both overnight batsmen soon fell - Kraigg Brathwaite for 64 to spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, while Ishant Sharma dismissed Darren Bravo for 29.

West Indies steadied the innings as Marlon Samuels and Jermaine Blackwood took their side through to lunch on 3-194.

The afternoon session began disastrously for West Indies. Blackwood went for 20 off the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, before Kumar also dismissed Samuels for 48 shortly afterward.

Kumar then set about dismantling the tail, claiming another three wickets to finish with 5-33.

India knew it had to score quickly to try and force a win out of the Test.

They lost Lokesh Rahul (28) shortly after tea, edging to the slips off seamer Miguel Cummins.

Cummins also claimed the wicket of Virat Kohli, India's captain, for just 4 runs as he struggled to score for the second time in this match.

Shikhar Dhawan (26) was also dismissed, Roston Chase taking his wicket with an lbw.

India leads the four-match series 1-0.
