The Sunday Times of India reports the official was admitted to hospital on Friday night with symptoms including fever, low blood pressure and low platelet count.
However, all the hospital is saying on record is that it may or may not be dengue.

A medical officer at the hospital has told the paper that tests have been done and a report's been sent to higher authorities.
The paper says biolarvicides were sprayed in and around the Games Village on Saturday.
