Sangeeta Jain has been arrested for attempted murder after CCTV footage, allegedly filmed on January 5, showed her beating and attempting to strangle her 70-year-old mother-in-law at a house in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh.
Mrs Jain's husband, Sandeep Jain, reportedly installed a CCTV camera in their house to "expose" his wife.

The footage shows a woman slapping and dragging an elderly woman, and it appears she attempts to strangle the older woman.

"My daughter-in-law slapped me and tried to strangle me. Then she got some stones and hit me with them," Sangeeta’s mother-in-law Raj Rani Jain told a press gathering.

Mrs Jain says her in-laws framed her.

"They've made a fake video clip to ruin my life," she said as quoted by ANI News.
