Australian actress Indiana Evans has been cast in a new US pilot based on the Australian series Secrets & Lies.
The US series centres on the character Ben Garner, played by Ryan Phillippe, a family man who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a young boy when he finds the body.
Evans will play Natalie, Ben's teenage daughter.
The former Home and Away actress starred in the ABC legal drama Crownies before being cast as the female lead in the remake of the 1980 film The Blue Lagoon.
Blue Lagoon: The Awakening co-starred fellow Australian actor Brenton Thwaites. It premiered in 2012.

The Australian production of Secrets & Lies stars Kiwi actor Martin Henderson and Anthony Hayes, who won the Most Outstanding Logie for his portrayal of Bernie Banton in Devil's Dust.
Secrets & Lies, a six part series, will premiere on Network Ten on Monday, March 3.
