Indonesia trade agreement detail released

Federal parliament has received a lengthy document spelling out the details of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between Australia and Indonesia.

Australian exporters, service providers and investors will have significantly improved and more certain access to the booming Indonesian market under a new trade deal, the federal government says.

The government has tabled in parliament a 1781-page document setting out the fine detail of the trade agreement with Indonesia and a national interest analysis.

The agreement will be scrutinised by the parliament's treaties committee before it passes into law and related regulations are enacted.
