Ingles stars but Warriors silence Jazz

Boomers forward Joe Ingles has scored a career-high 21 points, but he has been unable to stop Utah falling to a 106-99 NBA loss to Golden State.

Aussie Joe Ingles took advantage of a short-handed Utah line-up to pour in a career-high, but it wasn't enough to stop Golden State improving on their NBA-best record.

With the Jazz missing four starters due to injury, Ingles picked up the slack with a team-high 21 points on 7-13 shooting - including 5-9 from long-range - with centre Rudy Gobert adding 20 points to go with 17 rebounds.

But the depleted Jazz were no match for the Warriors, who - led by Steph Curry's 26 points and 21 from Kevin Durant - ran out comfortable 106-99 winners to improve the best record in the league to 19-3.

The Jazz never recovered from a 27-1 first-quarter run for the Warriors, who turned an early 4-2 deficit into a commanding 29-5 lead.

While Ingles starred in his season-high 35 minutes - adding five rebounds, four steals, three assists and a block to complete an impressive stat line - fellow Aussie Dante Exum endured a tough outing.

Exum, starting in place of the injured George Hill, hit just one of 11 shots from the field, but did have five assists in 36 minutes of action.

Like Ingles, San Antonio's Patty Mills made the most of some extra court time with 16 points in the Spurs' 95-91 loss to Chicago.

With veteran Tony Parker limited to 24 minutes as he returned to the San Antonio line-up after missing the win over Minnesota due to a knee injury, Boomers guard Mills scored 16 points, hitting four of six three-point attempts.

The Bulls were led by Dwyane Wade's 20 points, while Rajon Rondo finished one assist shy of a triple-double with 12 points to go with his 10 rebounds and nine assists.

In the day's other games, DeMar Rozan had 27 points, eight rebounds and five assists as Toronto hammered Minnesota 124-110, while Bradley Beal's 26 points paced Washington's 92-85 win over Denver.

Toney Douglas nailed two free-throws with less than a second on the clock as Memphis overcame Portland 88-86 and Phildelphia beat New Orleans 99-88 on the back of 23 points from Ersan Ilyasova.
