South Sydney could be without Greg Inglis for up to four NRL matches after he was cited for a shoulder charge during Queensland's State of Origin loss to NSW.
Inglis has been charged for an incident on NSW centre Josh Dugan in the second half of the Blues' 18-14 victory at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Queensland star was penalised for a shoulder charge on Dugan after the Blues' back had kicked the ball in the 48th minute of the clash.
Dugan left the field with a jaw injury which NSW coach Laurie Daley says "looks serious" after the hit by Inglis.
The Rabbitohs captain faces a three-match ban with an early plea or a four-game ban if he contests the charge and is unsuccessful.

Queensland veteran Corey Parker and NSW enforcer Andrew Fifita are also facing bans.
Parker has been charged for dangerous contact with the head or neck of a player after an incident with NSW debutant James Tedesco in the 72nd minute of the match.
The Brisbane back-rower would normally get a two-match ban for the grade two offence but is facing a one-match ban with an early plea due to a discount for a seven-year incident-free record.
Fifita is facing a one-match ban after receiving a grade-one contrary conduct charge for an incident after Queensland debutant Gavin Cooper had scored the Maroons' second try of the night.
The Cronulla forward was sin-binned after he ran into a push-and-shove that had begun when Cooper appeared to throw the ball at Blues' playmaker Matt Moylan's head after scoring.
Fifita threw Cooper backwards from the scrum of players before receiving his marching orders by the referee.
