Greg Inglis admits he is tired of the focus on Sam Burgess' return to the NRL with South Sydney.
Burgess himself has pleaded with media not to turn his comeback to Redfern into a "circus" and Rabbitohs captain Inglis has also had enough of all the talk about the dual international.
"I think people are getting carried away, I think it is too much focus on one person," Inglis told AAP.
"It is a team sport, he has come out and said it himself, it is unfair for the rest of the team.
"Having Sam back is great but we have to focus on what we each have to do.
"We have all been talking about Sam Burgess for too long now."
Burgess asked media to lay off the hype following his first hit out in rugby league in over a season, following his unsuccessful stint with English rugby union, after Souths' final trial win over Gold Coast at Pizzey Park on Saturday.
"Ease off a bit, if not for me but for all the club and the team as well," Burgess said.
"We just need to chill out. It's not a circus."
Burgess will make his return to the NRL in the Rabbitohs' season opener against arch-rivals Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Sunday March 6.
