Sri Lanka seam bowler Nuwan Pradeep will miss the remaining one-day internationals against Australia after aggravating a hamstring injury.
Instead of bringing in another seamer to replace him selectors opted for batsman Angelo Perera, who impressed for Sri Lanka "A" on their recent tour to England.
Pradeep played in the first Test in the three-match series, which Sri Lanka won in a whitewash, before sustaining the injury.
He was fit for the opening ODI against Australia last Sunday but was injured in training just before the toss.
Sri Lanka and Australia play the second ODI in Colombo on Wednesday.
