Indian paceman Jasprit Bumrah has eased fears about a potential injury after appearing to hurt his shoulder in the first Test against Australia.

Bumrah landed awkwardly on his non-bowling arm while diving in the field with 13 overs remaining on Sunday's fourth day at Adelaide Oval.

The paceman briefly left the field with Indian team physiotherapist Patrick Farhart but returned to bowl a three-over spell before stumps.

Australia were 4-104 at stumps, requiring 219 runs to win.
