The central bank is widely expected to give borrowers a breather next month, as instability in Europe continues to weigh on markets and question marks hang over Chinese growth.

All 17 economists polled by AAP say the Reserve Bank will leave the cash rate of 4.5 per cent unchanged tomorrow, at its June board meeting.

They predict interest rates will rise to between 4.75 and 5.25 per cent by the end of the year.
