International collaboration urged to fight cancer threat

The global public health threat that's posed by cancer is best tackled by increasing collaboration between nations with an open exchange of information.

That's how the head of the American Cancer Society, John R Seffrin says the world should be approaching the fight and he says access to the latest available data and trends is critical.

His organisation has just released a Cancer Atlas website and accompanying book which provides an overview of the burden of cancer, risk factors and prevention and control measures. 

John R Seffrin told Greg Dyett why collaboration is so critical.
