Job advertisements on the internet jumped by 5.4 per cent in July, official figures show.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations internet vacancy index rose to a seasonally adjusted 63.1 points in the month.
However, it was still down 14.7 per cent from a year earlier.
All eight occupational groups monitored by the department rose in July.
The biggest monthly increases were for professionals (up nine per cent), followed by community and personal service workers (up 7.1 per cent).
Job ads also rose in all states and territories in July, led by a 12.5 per cent increase in the ACT.
In contrast, all jurisdictions fells over the year, apart from Tasmania, which saw a rise of six per cent.
The largest annual fall was in the Western Australia, which posted a drop of 36.2 per cent.
