Investigating nude leak difficult: cops

Police are still yet to receive a formal complaint over reports more than 700 nude photos of Queensland women were circulated online.

It would be difficult to investigate whether nude photos of Queensland women were circulated online now that links to the images have been removed, police say.

More than 700 photos were shared without permission over the weekend on a forum linked to a New Zealand-based online storage service, which has since removed the photos, Fairfax reports.

A police spokesman said they will not investigate until they receive a formal complaint, and that the removal of the images would make the process more difficult.
