Air safety officials expect to spend two days examining two planes that collided at an airport in Adelaide, killing a 62-year-old pilot.
The man died after being hit by a runaway plane at Parafield Airport on Sunday with the single-engined Cessna 172 then crashing into a stationary plane on the tarmac.
Both planes were unoccupied at the time of the crash and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has described the incident as a ground handling accident.
The ATSB had two investigators at Parafield on Monday and they are expected to remain on the scene for two days.
"The investigation will consist of examining the aircraft and its systems and interviewing witnesses," the ATSB said in a statement.
The aircraft remained at the site of the crash on Monday with images showing how the propeller of the Cessna had shredded part of the wing of the larger aircraft, a Piper Saratoga.
