A man who allegedly abused people and threw meat and eggs while the prime minister of Samoa was speaking at a Brisbane church will face court next year.
Talalelei Pauga is accused of interrupting a meeting at St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Parish in Marsden on November 14, where Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi.
The prime minister was speaking about new flights linking Brisbane and Samoa's capital, Apia, a spokesman for the Samoan government says.
"He was there to launch the inaugural first flight," the spokesman said.
The prime minister's safety was never threatened, he said.
Pauga, 41, from Riverview, did not appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday when his charge of committing public nuisance was briefly mentioned, and the case was adjourned until January 10.
