The legal basis for invading Iraq has come under scrutiny at the Iraq War inquiry in London, which has resumed following the UK elections.
Previously classified documents have been released, which underline the doubts felt by Britain's top legal officer, former attorney general Lord Goldsmith.
He told then Prime Minister Tony Blair in early 2003 that military force against Iraq would not be legal, but later changed his mind saying that the case for a military operation could be made under UN resolutions.
He denies that he came under pressure from No 10 in his decision.
