Israel blames Hamas for alleged abduction

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is accusing the Palestinian group Hamas of kidnapping three Israeli teenagers.

A Palestinian man is arrested by Israeli soldiers after clashes in the West Bank as Israeli forces continue the hunt for three missing youths.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is accusing the Palestinian group Hamas of kidnapping three Israeli teenagers.

The teenagers, aged 16 to 19, were said to be returning from lessons when they went missing in an area controlled by the Israeli military in the West Bank.

Hamas has denied any knowledge of the supposed kidnapping which has provoked a massive manhunt.

Israeli Ambassador Shmuel Ben-Shmuel is speaking with Thea Cowie in windy Canberra.
