The Israeli military has live-blogged its own attack targeting Hamasmilitary leader Ahmed Jaabari, posting videos and detailed infographics about the strike on its official website.
An Israel Defense Force (IDF) website editor began outlining details of the strike on the site around 4.30pm local time on November 14, describing the attack as a "surgical operation".
"The purpose of this operation was to cripple the command and control chain of the Hamas leadership, as well as its terrorist infrastructure," it said.

A YouTube video posted to the site claims to show the moment Jaabari was killed by an Israeli missile strike.

The website post also described how long range rocket sites owned by Hamas had been identified and destroyed in Gaza.
"The aim of targeting these sites is to cripple the terrorist organisation's rocket launching and weapons build up capabilities.
"The Gaza strip has turned into a forward base for Iran, firing rockets and carrying out terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens."
Jaabari's death sparked furious protests in Gaza City, as tensions between Israel and Hamas escalated in recent days, according to reports from AFP.
More than 20 strikes hit the Gaza Strip in the offensive, killing as many as nine others, including two children, and wounding at least 45, Hamas health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra was quoted as saying earlier.
Israel and Hamas have both issued public reactions to the events via Twitter. An official account for the IDF (Israeli Defence Force) this morning issued a warning to Hamas that "no operatives, whether low level or senior leaders, show their faces above ground in the days ahead."
An unverified account alleging to be the official voice of Al Qassam Brigades -- the military arm of Hamas -- fired back a response to the IDF account, saying that their "blessed hands will reach your leaders and soldiers wherever they are".
