Jackie Trad has fallen on her sword, resigning as Queensland's deputy premier and treasurer.
Sunday's announcement came less than 24 hours after she temporarily stood down from her ministerial duties over revelations she was facing an integrity probe for the second time in 12 months.
Health Minister Steven Miles has been appointed deputy premier, Cameron Dick will take on the role as treasurer and Kate Jones will manage state development.
Member for Gladstone Glenn Butcher has been promoted from the outer ministry, becoming the new minister for regional development and manufacturing.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk unveiled her new cabinet on Sunday.
She said these permanent appointments would remain in place until the state election slated for October.
"These are my decisions," she said.
"I've acted swiftly and decisively."
Ms Palaszczuk moved to assure Queenslanders the government was focussed on keeping them safe and getting them back into work.
The state's corruption watchdog confirmed on Saturday it was investigating Ms Trad over allegations she interfered in the recruitment and selection process for the principal of the new Inner City South Secondary College, located in her South Brisbane seat.
