NSW State of Origin star Josh Jackson has taken out the Brad Fittler medal as players' player at the Blues' annual bash at The Star.
Teammates and coaches on Monday night voted Jackson as the side's best player of this year's series defeat to Queensland after he played all but 10 minutes of all three matches.
He was also the series' third highest tackler behind Queensland and Australian skipper Cameron Smith and Blues hooker Robbie Farah.
The NSW second-rower is the first Canterbury player to claim the state's top gong and joins a luminous list of previous winners, including Josh Dugan, Jarryd Hayne and Paul Gallen.
"Josh was one of our most consistent performers in all three games and he fully deserves the prestigious medal," Blues coach Laurie Daley said in front of 650 guests in Sydney.
"He is one of those guys that put in 100 per cent both at training and on the field and his performance throughout the series reflects that.
"Josh is made for Origin. He wears the NSW jersey with immense pride and he's a great guy to have in the side. He will do just about anything for his teammates."
Rookie Tyson Frizell was awarded the people's choice prize after impressive performances in game two and three, including a try on debut.
"Tyson was outstanding in the two games that he played for us. He took his opportunity with both hands and it's nice to see his efforts being rewarded," Daley said.
Prop Aaron Woods, considered the frontrunner to replace the retired Gallen as captain next year, was handed the True Blue award for team culture.
