Deputy State Coroner Hugh Dillon has found that a boy, who died after a schoolyard brawl on the New South Wales north coast, wasn't bashed to death or murdered, but was the victim of terrible luck.

After two weeks of hearings Mr Dillon has ruled it impossible to pinpoint precisely what caused the severe brain haemorrhage which led to Jai Morcom's death following a brawl at Mullumbimby High School on August 28, 2009.

Deputy State Coroner has told the Lismore court it would be wrong to point the finger of blame at anyone.
