As Usain Bolt smashed yet another record on an Olympic track, London's Jamaican community celebrated.
Surrounded by the colours of the Jamaican flag, revellers said they never had a doubt as to how the race would end. “I'm ecstatic, I'm proud and I knew he'd do it. Jamaica's small but it's inspirational,” said one woman.
The 25-year-old ran the 100 metres in an astonishing 9.63 seconds.
An estimated 4 billion viewers watched Bolt retain his title as the fastest man on earth.
