Actor Jamie Foxx has played a real-life hero, rescuing a motorist from a fiery wreck.

An accident occurred outside Foxx's Los Angeles home on Monday and the Django Unchained star sprang into action to help the driver get out of his vehicle before it burst into flames.

The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to ABCNews.com.

"Jamie didn't hesitate," a representative for the actor told the news publication. "He jumped out and ran to the car."

"Two witnesses that were near the collision scene ran to the burning, overturned truck in an attempt to free the driver," a police spokesperson adds.

Foxx has yet to comment on the news reports.

The driver, 32-year-old Brett Kyle, was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries - and then booked for DUI.

According to police reports obtained by TMZ.com, Kyle flipped his Toyota Tacoma after hitting a drainage pipe.
