Jane to clock up 100 Super Rugby matches

Hurricanes flyer Cory Jane will bring up a century of Super Rugby appearances when he takes the field against the Jaguares in Wellington.

Hurricanes winger Cory Jane will bring up 100 Super Rugby matches when he runs out against the Jaguares in Wellington on Saturday.

Jane, 33, will be become the eighth player to reach a century of appearances for the Hurricanes after Tana Umaga, Rodney So'oialo, Neemia Tialata, Ma'a Nonu, Andrew Hore, Conrad Smith and Jeremy Thrush.

"It's a massive honour to join that list and to be part of that group is something I'm extremely proud of," he said.

"I never thought I'd reach 100 games and I feel very privileged to have been doing what I love for the team I love for such a long time."

The 53-Test All Black made his Super Rugby debut against the Queensland Reds in 2007, scoring the first of his 24 tries for the Hurricanes.

Coach Chris Boyd has made four changes to the side that started in the home win over the Southern Kings before last weekend's bye.

Julian Savea is back on the left wing, pushing Jason Woodward to fullback in place of James Marshall, who will miss Saturday's match because of concussion.

In the pack, No.8 Victor Vito (calf strain), blindside flanker Brad Shields (cut hand) and loosehead prop Reggie Goodes (concussion) all return from injury.

Hurricanes: Jason Woodward, Cory Jane, Willis Halaholo, Ngani Laumape, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara, Victor Vito, Ardie Savea, Brad Shields, Blade Thomson, Michael Fatialofa, Jeff Toomaga-Allen, Dane Coles (capt), Reggie Goodes. Reserves: Motu Matu'u, Chris Eves, Ben May, Vaea Fifita, Callum Gibbins, Jamison Gibson-Park, Otere Black, Matt Proctor.
