Serbia's Jelena Jankovic beat Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium in a tough three sets on Friday to advance to the Guangzhou International tennis final in China.
Jankovic came from three points down in the 11th game of the deciding set to break Wickmayer's serve and also fought off a match point in the preceding game to win 6-3 2-6 7-5
The Serb ended an eight-match winning streak by Wickmayer. The Belgian player won her first WTA title in more than five years at the Japan Open last week, and won three more matches this week in Guangzhou.
The Czech Republic's Denisa Allertova, who upset top-seeded Simona Halep of Romania in straight sets in the quarter-finals, continued her strong form with a 7-5 6-2 defeat of No.3 Sara Errani of Italy in the second semi.
The 22-year-old Allertova broke Errani's serve in the deciding game of the opening set, helped by a double-fault by the Italian, her third of the first set.
Allertova then broke Errani again in the second game of the second set to take a 2-0 lead, saved a break point to lead 3-0 and closed out the match in one hour and 24 minutes.
Saturday's match against Jankovic will be Allertova's first career WTA final.
