US Republican Presidential hopeful, Jeb Bush, has posted a picture of a personally engraved handgun, along with the word ‘America’.
Naturally, the vague tweet has set off a twitter storm.
Bush is on the campaign trail around the United States and the tweet follows a visit to a firearms manufacturer in South Carolina. But the tweet failed to provide any context.
He has previously said he would protect current US gun laws under the Second Amendment in the US constitution and he is a lifetime member of the pro-gun lobby group, the National Rifles Association.
But the tweet has surprised some observers who are used to a more typically mild-mannered man.
It was shared - and parodied - almost instantly.
