The career path of Australian boxer Jeff Horn as he prepares for his welterweight world title fight on Sunday against the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

*Bullied at school, Horn took up boxing.

*Outside the ring, he has worked as a schoolteacher.

*As an amateur light welterweight, Horn represented Australia at the 2011 world championships where he lost in to eventual champion Everton Lopes in a second round bout and he reached the quarter finals at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

*He made his professional debut in March 2013, winning his first three fights before suffering the only blemish on his pro record with a technical draw against Rivan Cesaire following a head clash. Horn scored a stoppage win in their rematch seven months later.

*His early professional highlights included a first round KO of Cameroon 2006 Commonwealth Games representative Samuel Colomban for the vacant Australian welterweight title in his fifth fight and a points victory over two-time light welterweight title contender Naoufel Ben Rabah in his seventh bout..

*Horn signs with New Zealand-based Duco Events and has six successive fights in that country against opponents with combined records of 135 wins, 11 losses and three draws. He beats all of them including the then European Union welterweight champion, Ahmed El Mousaoui.

*Wins a swag of regional titles and after defeating a number of top 15 ranked fighters ascends to the status of WBO No.1 contender.

*Proves he can take a punch by getting off the canvas to beat former light welterweight word champion Randall Bailey and former IBO welterweight title holder and lightweight title contender Ali Funeka.
