Prized recruit Jesse Hogan's debut for Fremantle has been confirmed, with the key forward a certain starter against Gold Coast in Sunday's AFL match.
Hogan was barred from selection in round one with Dockers hierarchy initially saying the ex-Melbourne spearhead had made "poor choices around alcohol".
But the club later said the reason he was overlooked for selection for Freo's win against North Melbourne last weekend was due to anxiety.
Hogan will replace teammate Hayden Ballantyne (hamstring) for the away fixture against the Suns.
The 24-year-old returned to his home town of Perth after spending five seasons and playing 71 AFL games with Melbourne.
Hogan had long been speculated to be returning to Perth but rejected initial overtures from Fremantle and West Coast in 2014.
The power forward topped Melbourne's goalkicking in 2016 when he again rebuffed offers to return to Perth by signing a contract extension to remain with the Demons until the end of last season.
Hogan was secured by the Dockers in the trade period, signing a three-year deal understood to be worth about $900,000 a season.
Hogan will be the fifth newcomer to make his debut at Fremantle this season, joining fellow recruits Rory Lobb, Reece Conca and Travis Colyer, while Lachie Schultz made his AFL debut in round one.
