The New York Jets lost starting quarterback Geno Smith to a knee injury in the second quarter but still managed to snap a four-game losing streak with a 24-16 NFL win over Baltimore.

Powered by 155 yards of offence, and two touchdowns, from running back Matt Forte, the Jets pulled away over the final two quarters as stand-in QB Ryan Fitzpatrick produced three scoring drives.

He was helped by a Jets defence that came up with two rare interceptions off Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to set up a pair of scoring drives, Fitzpatrick finishing nine of 14 for 120 yards and a touchdown for the Jets (2-5).

Smith injured his right knee while taking a sack from Baltimore's Matthew Judon.

A back-breaking kickoff return allowed Philadelphia to upset Minnesota 21-10 on Sunday, handing the NFL's final undefeated team its first defeat.

Neither team's offense was effective and both team's quarterbacks struggled.

Philadelphia rookie Carson Wentz completed 16 of 28 passes for 138 yards.

Minnesota's Sam Bradford, who was traded from the Eagles before the season opener, was even worse for most of the game. He completed 24 of 41 passes for 224 yards.

Jay Ajayi became the fourth player in NFL history to rush for more than 200 yards in consecutive games, leading the Miami Dolphins to a 28-25 upset win over the Buffalo Bills.

Ajayi joined O.J. Simpson (1973 and 1976), Earl Campbell (1980) and Ricky Williams (2002) as the only players to have consecutive 200-yard games.

Matthew Stafford connected with Anquan Boldin on an 18-yard touchdown pass with 16 seconds left to lift Detroit to a 20-17 win over Washington.

Kansas City beat New Orleans 27-21, Spencer Ware touching the ball 19 times for 132 yards which included a short pass from quarterback Alex Smith which he turned into a 46-yard touchdown play in the first quarter.

Landon Collins and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie each had two interceptions, fueling a strong defensive effort in the New York Giants' 17-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams at Twickenham Stadium in London.

Jeremy Hill rushed for a career-high 168 yards and Andy Dalton passed for 308 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was a 'Hail Mary' to A.J. Green at the end of the first half, to lift the Cincinnati Bengals to a 31-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

The Indianapolis Colts might have saved their season with a 34-26 win over the Tennessee Titans, while Oakland continued their sizzling road form with a 33-16 win over Jacksonville.
