Jetstar flight forced to land in Brisbane

A Sydney-Cairns Jetstar flight has been forced to land in Brisbane after the cabin reportedly filled with smoke and the engine began making strange sounds.

A Jetstar plane flying from Sydney to Cairns has reportedly been forced to divert to Brisbane after smoke began filling the cabin.

The flight left Sydney just after 4pm on Thursday and was 40 minutes into the journey when the incident occurred, News Corp reports.

Passengers took to Facebook to describe their fear when the cabin filled with smoke and the engine began making strange sounds.
