News Corp Australia is reportedly cutting 55 journalism jobs across the organisation.

News Corp has suffered a third-quarter loss of $US149 million after revenue dropped 7.3 per cent. (AAP)

News Corp Australia is reportedly cutting journalism jobs, with 55 positions to go in the coming week.

The Australian newspaper, published by News Corp Australia, says editorial managers have been briefed about the cuts across the organisation, with many "mutually agreed".

A News Corp Australia spokesman says the company will not be issuing a statement.
