Johnson, Cummins look for hefty IPL deals

Australian pacemen Pat Cummins and Mitchell Johnson have listed themselves at the equal-highest base price for this year's IPL auction.

Australian fast bowlers Mitchell Johnson and Pat Cummins are among seven players to list themselves at the highest base price for the IPL auction.

Johnson and Cummins are entered at $A386,000 for the auction on February 20, with Johnson back on the market after being released by Kings XI Punjab at the end of last year's IPL.

The 35-year-old is coming off an outstanding BBL with champions Perth Scorchers where he snared 13 wickets at 15.46 with an economy rate of less than six runs per over.

Cummins made an impressive return to international cricket during the summer, picking up 18 ODI wickets at 26.16 and bowling with express pace.

England allrounders Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes are also listed at the top base price along with their big-hitting limited overs captain Eoin Morgan.

Indian quick Ishant Sharma and Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Matthews round out the group.

Test offspinner Nathan Lyon and retired wicketkeeper Brad Haddin have listed their starting prices in the next highest bracket at $290,000.

Opener David Warner and hitting sensation Chris Lynn are among 17 Australians retained by IPL franchises for this year's tournament which kicks off in April.
