Australian Josh Brookes has celebrated his British Superbike title success by winning the second of the three races at Brands Hatch, but then crashed out of the last race of the 2015 season.

The Milwaukee Yamaha rider had sealed the crown after beating four-time defending champion Shane Byrne in Saturday's opening race and he provided an action replay in the first of Sunday's two outings.

But as he battled with Tyco BMW's Michael Laverty for the lead on the eighth lap of the third race - the final one of the campaign - Brookes clipped the kerb and was down and out.

Laverty went on to take his first victory of the season ahead of James Ellison on the JG Speedfit Kawasaki, with Byrne third.
