Joyce against quotas for women pollies

Barnaby Joyce would like to see more women in politics, but doesn't believe in quotas, saying it could lead to quotas for everything.

Deputy Nationals Leader Barnaby Joyce agrees there should be more women in politics, but does not support the idea of quotas.

Some female government MPs are calling for a better representation in parliament, but Mr Joyce believes once you start on quotas, there will be quotas for everything.

"I would hate to have a job knowing I was there because of a quota, I would like to think I was there cause I was the best person for the job," he told Sky News.
