The Prime Minister has handed back the deeds to four parcels of land to traditional owners, during a visit to the Northern Territory.

Julia Gillard says indigenous town camps in Alice Springs have suffered extreme neglect and has welcomed the opening of new accommodation facilities.

But the Opposition says the government's plan to transform the NT is bogus without appropriate community consultation.
