The three key independents will have more meetings today and release a parliamentary reform document but they still haven't decided which party they'll support to form a minority government.
Whatever the outcome of today's talks, it will be at least Monday before it's known whether Labor or the Coalition will govern because Bob Katter, Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor say they want the weekend to think about which way they'll go.
Mr Windsor hopes to announce his decision by Monday but the other two independents might wait until later in the week.
The trio's parliamentary reform document will call for all legislation to go directly to a committee, which would discuss amendments before being debated in parliament.
Labor has edged closer to forming a minority government with Tasmanian independent Andrew Wilkie declaring his support for Prime Minister Julia Gillard after more than a week of tense negotiations.
Wilkie 'an influential force'
Tasmanian independent MP Andrew Wilkie says he'll be an influential force in federal parliament regardless of who becomes Australia's next prime minister.
He announced yesterday he'll support a Labor minority government, giving the party 74 members on its side, including Greens' MP Adam Bandt.
Mr Wilkie is predicting at least one of the other independents will also support Labor but says he really doesn't know which way Mr Windsor, Mr Katter and Mr Oaskshott will go.
Mr Wilkie told ABC TV even if Opposition Leader Tony Abbott manages to form a coalition minority government he'll still be able to influence policy and get good outcomes for his Denison constituents.
