NSW Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell has lashed out at Kristina Keneally's claim voters will have to "look after each other" under a coalition government, accusing the premier of sinking to a "despicable" new low.
An angry Mr O'Farrell criticised what he called the "hysteria of Labor's campaign", after Ms Keneally's address to construction workers earlier on Friday.
Speaking at the construction site at Sydney's Haymarket, Ms Keneally beseeched voters to "look after each other" if the "Coalition gets their way".
"Take care of your neighbour, because there will be fewer police to do that for you," she said.
"Take care of the old, the sick and the vulnerable because when the health budget is cut there will be fewer nurses and there will be fewer community care workers."

Mr O'Farrell said NSW deserved better than Ms Keneally's scaremongering.
"This is a new despicable low where you seek to scare the vulnerable in the community, where you seek to raise fears amongst children, amongst the aged and those with disabilities," a livid opposition leader told reporters at state parliament.
"This is completely and utterly outrageous."
