Harry Kewell will welcome the pressure he is under to ignite misfiring Melbourne Victory after a stuttering start for his new club, according to A-League title-winning coach Ange Postecoglou.
Both two-time champion Melbourne and Kewell remain goalless after three games of the new season with Australia's wealthiest club amassing just two points and needing to find a cutting edge heading into a trio of challenges against Wellington Phoenix, reigning champion Brisbane and last year's runner up Central Coast.
Already Victory and rookie coach Mehmet Durakovic have come under heavy fire for a listless beginning to the new campaign with star recruit Kewell cutting a figure of frustration in a variety of roles as the much-hyped club has so far drawn a blank.

But Postecoglou believes it's premature to draw any conclusions, telling The World Game: “It's a question of Harry developing an understanding with teammates he is only just getting to know and you can be certain he will welcome the pressure that comes with arriving at a club which expects him to do very well.
“He will back himself to make a huge impact, that's what class players do. He's come in to make a statement about his quality and how he can lift the Victory to a new level.
“And I believe he has shown already in flashes what he can do. Harry's faced scrutiny and pressure for the large part of his career and he knows what is required.
