Australia and Hong Kong have concluded a free trade agreement just 18 months after talks began.

* Tariffs to be bound at zero, meaning certainty for goods exporters

* New standards to facilitate trade in wine and fresh food

* Guaranteed access and smoother rules for services suppliers, such as education, engineering transport and financial services

* Legally binding access for Australian suppliers to Hong Kong's government procurement market

* Commitment to allow spouses of temporary professional work entrants to work in Hong Kong

* New rules dealing with e-commerce, competition, intellectual property and regulatory co-operation

* Updated investment rules.
