Key policies in the SA election so far

With early voting starting on Monday and just two weeks to the South Australian election here are key promises announced so far.

KEY SA ELECTION PROMISES SO FAR:

Labor:

* A 75 per cent renewable energy target and a 25 per cent renewable storage target by 2025.

* A $2 billion infrastructure fund including money for new road works, extensions to the city's tram lines as well as support for a deep water port in Spencer Gulf.

* A $692 million program to upgrade more than 90 public schools.

* Major upgrades to Adelaide's metropolitan hospitals and a $140 million plan to also upgrade country hospitals.

* Continuation of the government's $200 million future jobs fund.

Liberal:

* Major cuts to payroll tax to aid small businesses and cuts to the Emergency Services Levy for both households and businesses.

* A promise of $100 million over four years for more trainee and apprenticeships.

* A pledge to develop a plan for a freight airport at Murray Bridge and a new road corridor.

* A move to reopen operating theatres at the mothballed Repatriation Hospital.

* A decision to transition year 7 into high school.

SA-BEST:

* Establishment of a royal commission into the state's health system.

* A move to set up a community energy retailer to cut power costs for low-income families and small businesses.

* A 50 per cent cut in the number of poker machines and the introduction of maximum $1 bets.

* The introduction of free public transport for seniors.

* An independent inquiry into TAFE SA after the failure of some courses.
